bio

Born in Palo Alto, CA., Lynne McDaniel currently lives and works in Los Angeles.

After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at University of California, Irvine, she spent the next decade living and painting in London, England. Since her return to California, she has exhibited regularly in galleries and accepted numerous commissions.

Lynne’s paintings explore the balance of serenity and chaos that lies beneath the surface of everyday things. In an on-going project, Lynne is making a series of paintings of the hills and canyons above her home, documenting the alterations made by fire, flood, and time. Her drawings and paintings are in many private US and international collections.
